Yesterday I discovered the fantastic world of GIMP brushes at Deviant Art. I’d previously considered the custom brushes in the Gimp to be rather lame. Possibly because most of the ones that it came with were a bit lame. As it turns out, if you know how then you can make excellent ones and if you don’t know how you can download them from the people that do know how. There’s also a few very nice default pattern fills.
As usual I had something very different in mind when I started making this, grungier with reaching swirls or tendrils, but then it came out a bit classic. It was meant to be sad and confused but now it’s maybe sad and thoughtful.
Let me know what you think.
